The case for Team Debo
Team Debo enters 2026 as a clear favorite — and the numbers back it up at every turn. The roster is loaded with the deepest collection of tournament-tested champions in QUBT history. Johnno (5-1), Debo himself (4-1), Leitch (4-2), Paps (4-2), and Jack (3-1) have all been on the right side of the final score more often than not. That's five players with three or more cup wins, all lining up together.
The momentum argument is equally compelling. Of the 11 players who won the 2025 championship, seven now wear Team Debo colours: Jack (the defending champion captain), Debo, Paps, Ags, K. Jones, Johnno, and Bords. That's nearly two thirds of the defending champions on one side of the bracket — a fact that can't be ignored going into June.
Ags (3-3) and Bates (3-3) are wildcards who have been on both sides before. K. Jones is 2-0 — quietly one of the most efficient winners on the roster. Even Bords (2-4) and Nigel (2-4) bring experience that the bottom of Marsh's roster simply can't match.
The case for Team Marsh
Team Marsh's entire case begins and ends with one name: Dumais. The man is 6-0 in six QUBT appearances — the only undefeated player in tournament history. He's won cups as captain, as a role player, on underdog teams, on favorite teams. Six tournaments. Six cups. He is, statistically, the single most dominant force this tournament has ever seen, and he lines up for Team Marsh in 2026.
Supporting cast has more to prove but isn't without pedigree. Henny is a former cup champion and YJ winner (2024) who brings a 2-4 record that undersells his big-game capability. Cash (3-2) is quietly consistent — three cups in five appearances. Sorty (1-4) carries a tough cup record but owns the 2023 YJ title, a reminder his best golf peaks when it matters. Ty (2-3) adds steady experience in the middle of the lineup.
The concern is depth. Levy (0-3), Garts, Tolks, Fiala, and Co. Jones represent a collection of players with limited or no cup pedigree. Only four of the eleven 2025 champions return on this side — Dumais, Cash, Fiala, and Henny. The gap against Team Debo's seven returning champions is real and significant heading into tournament week.

Final verdict
Team Debo is the clear favorite in 2026. They have the deeper roster, the better W-L records top to bottom, and — critically — 7 of the 11 defending champions in their corner. The momentum argument that could have gone to Marsh evaporates when you count the bodies. But Dumais remains the great equalizer. He is 6-0 all-time and has never been on the wrong side of a final. If there's one reason to back Team Marsh at +133, his name is on the scorecard.
